Double Edge Kiridashi
Inspired by the Japanese tool ‘Ryoba-Kiridashi’ - a simple skew profile double bevel knife where the blade is the handle. Tight and intimate in hand, 30 degrees inclusive grind, and a very hard edge that begs to get deadsharp on water-stones.
Forge welded combination of antique Swedish wrought iron laminated with UHB26c3 as the core. Made entirely by hand and eye with clay tempering and a durable forge-black finish.
Despite the high harness of the edge it is easy to sharpen when water stones are used - Natural stones are the best to finish for performance of the edge, but any splash and go water stone progression will work wonderfully.
Approximately 220mm x 15mm x 4mm - hand forged Antique Wrought Iron + 26c3/1.2002
Attention: Made to order, Item ships in approximately 3 Weeks.
