Hand forged combination of antique Swedish wrought iron with Hitachi Blue 2 as the core. The blade is stout with a working type spine which is heavily rounded. Bevels are ground to 25 degrees inclusive and sharpened on water stones. (Blue 2 is a little hard to sharpen because of high W content)

Handle carved from home harvested Birch root burl with a rough and ready sanded and Tung oiled finish. Flat egg shaped cross section with straight flared profile.
